Kokuto Shochu TOMOE MORE (720ml)
In 1927, Tomi Nishihira, the first master brewer, founded Tomi Nishihira’s brewery, which has now been in operation for over 90 years.
In 2019, Tomi’s great-grandson, Serena Nishihira, was entrusted with creating TOMOE-MORE.
The name “Toi et Moi” is inspired by the character for “Tomoe” used in the brand’s original name. It combines “Tomoe once more (more)” and “Toi et Moi” (French for ‘you and me’).
This masterpiece pays tribute to its predecessors, blending traditional white malted rice with yellow malted rice to symbolize the arrival of a new era.
Aged for two years, it achieves a mellow and mild flavor.
The design features the moon as seen from Amami, with gold leaves dancing like a starry sky, symbolizing hope for the future.
Raw materials: Brown sugar and rice malt
🍶 Discover Kokuto Shochu — A Rare Spirit from Japan’s Amami Islands
From the lush Amami Islands in southern Japan comes Kokuto Shochu, a traditional spirit made from brown sugar and rice malt.
Unlike rum, it uses a special Japanese distillation method and is only allowed to be produced in Amami, making it truly unique.
Kokuto Shochu has deep roots in island culture, dating back to the Ryukyu Kingdom. It carries the flavors of nature, history, and craftsmanship—smooth, slightly sweet, and rich in character.
Whether sipped neat or mixed in a cocktail, this rare spirit offers a taste of tradition you can’t find anywhere else.
Experience the spirit of Amami.
