【Upcycled】Ultra-Transformable Dress ‘A-Line Asymmetrical’ (Black-Navy & Green Tones) – Remade from a kimono, 100% silk

Made by unpicking and reworking recycled Oshima Tsumugi kimonos (100% silk).

A variety of Oshima Tsumugi fabrics have been used.

Making the most of the kimono’s straight lines and width, I created this piece with a playful spirit, guided by inspiration, whilst carefully considering the patterns, colour tones and balance—as well as the draping sections, the cut-out sections and the areas where the fabric overlaps.

With its fluid straight lines, the melodious rustle of the Oshima Tsumugi fabric as you move, and the myriad expressions it creates with every movement, this is a truly special piece♪

Generous amounts of fabric have been used from the underarms down, creating an airy, flowing and glamorous silhouette.

The way the fabric overlaps and the shape it forms change with every movement☆彡

Its appearance also varies depending on the wearer’s figure.

The soothing sound of Oshima Tsumugi rustling against the skin is so pleasant that it’s a dress which makes your heart leap—one that makes you want to move, even without a reason.

It looks lovely as an accent when worn with an inner skirt, allowing the hem to peek out.
